Kevin Bass, known to many as Chef KB, is an Army veteran whose passion for cooking has fueled a remarkable culinary journey spanning decades and continents. A master of BBQ and soul food, Chef KB has perfected the art of bold flavors, slow-smoked meats, and comforting, soulful dishes that bring people together. His talents have taken him around the globe, sharing exceptional meals with service members in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Japan, and numerous other locations—both while in uniform and in continued service beyond it.

 

Double’s Foods, the parent company of Double’s BBQ, lovingly named after his daughter’s nickname, was founded in Detroit, Michigan. In 2016, the business expanded from Detroit to the DMV, where it continues to deliver unforgettable food experiences rooted in tradition, excellence, and heart.
